Zynga is toying with the idea of introducing subscription services

Zynga is "testing and exploring" bringing subscription services to some of its games, Bernard Kim, the publishing president, told Variety shortly after his quarterly earnings report reached Wednesday. The company's revenue was $ 265 million for the first quarter, which ended on March 31. That's up 27% compared to the same period last fiscal year. The results are driven by "Join the Dragon!" And "Kingdoms & Puzzles," as well as "strong contributions" from the racing titles "CSR2," "Words with Friends," and "Hit It Rich! Slots," according to the company.

During his income call, Zynga Chief Executive Frank Gibeau noted that the subscription would be a "very viable business model" for the company in the long run and in the near future that it might be suitable for some games. Kim told Variety that the company is testing the idea of subscription services for games like "Words With Friends" and that it will provide additional content to the players. This quarter reflects the highest cellular revenue and Zynga booking quarter ever. Orders are estimated to reach $ 1.45 billion this year, up 50 percent from last year and up $ 100 million from the previous guide. That puts Zynga on track for the strongest annual income since 2012 and the highest booking in Zynga's history.

Zynga expects renewed interest from the new Games of Thrones-themed slot, which is currently being tested, although some people might say that this product would be better to arrive before the show airs. In contrast, non-casino supporters such as Words With Friends reported cellular revenues up 49% and CSR2 racing titles increasing 27%. Newer titles such as Join Dragon! reported record earnings, while Empires & Puzzles darted in and out of the U.S. 10 Top-10 Game Top charts on Google Play and Apple's App Store.
